Fairfield Oktoberfest Set for Sept. 14 Rain or Shine

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Town of Fairfield’s 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest is just under a month away! The event will take place, rain or shine, on September 14 from 2PM – 6PM in the parking lot at the Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford Street in Downtown Fairfield. The event is co-hosted by the Fairfield Office of Community & Economic Development, Fairfield Parks & Recreation and Fairfield Theatre Company.

This year’s event will feature live music by the Grammy-nominated and 12-time award-winning International Polka Band Association of Chicago’s “Favorite Band/Instrumental Group of the Year” Dennis Polisky & Maestro’s Men. The musical entertainment continues with international touring & recording artist Fuzz & Friends! Among his many projects are Deep Banana Blackout, Caravan of Thieves and Big Fuzz. Fuzz has also worked with the Tom Tom Club and shared the stage with groups as diverse as The Allman Brothers, John Scofield, Keb Mo, Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck and many others.

Local food trucks with festive food offerings will be onsite as well as vendors presenting a curated selection of adult beverages for attendees 21 and older. Featured games include ax throwing and cornhole. Commemorative Fairfield Oktoberfest t-shirts and steins will be available for purchase.
