Joshua Redman, a highly acclaimed saxophonist, composer, and bandleader, emerged onto the Brooklyn jazz scene in the 1990s upon winning the Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition. Over the past three decades, the multi-hyphenate musician has consistently demonstrated the art of honoring jazz history while expanding its reach in contemporary settings.
Where We Are, Redman’s first recording as a Blue Note Artist, is one of his most challenging and compelling albums to date, and for the first time in Redman’s discography, is built around a dynamic vocalist (Gabrielle Cavassa).
