Letter: We Must Elect Alexis Harrison as State Rep in CT-132

The following is a letter from Fairfielder Bob MacGuffie endorsing Alexis Harrison for State Representative...

"This is to weigh in with my support for Alexis Harrison for State Representative in Fairfield dist. 132. Alexis is a life-long resident of Fairfield and has always dedicated her own time in efforts over the years to benefit the quality of life of Fairfield’s residents. 

Her most recent efforts have been as co-founder of CT 169 Strong, a state-wide activist group focused on preserving local control, and giving residents a strong voice in decisions about our communities and towns. Under the guise of another created “crisis,” the Capitol’s power elite seek to wrest local zoning control, and retain it for themselves and their discretion in Hartford. 

She’s been fighting to stop the out-of-scale overdevelopment we all see in Fairfield.

In addition, small business is the life-blood of any community. Connecticut is currently ranked 50th, dead last in the nation in the ability to start a small business. In addition to the overall cost environment, major inhibitors to budding entrepreneurs are high business taxes, burgeoning regulations, and workplace mandates. Alexis is dedicated to lifting these unnecessary burdens on our local economy.

These are just a couple solid reasons of many, to send Alexis to Hartford to represent us here in Fairfield.  Alexis has demonstrated the qualities necessary to motivate and activate a community to take action to protect their own interests. She’ll use those same qualities on our behalf so that we can retain control of our own lives here in Fairfield. Please vote for Alexis Harrison for State Representative on Nov. 5th... or before!"
