MoCA Westport Now Offering Art Intensive Camp for 8-10 Year Olds

Westport, CT - MoCA Westport is now offering an Art Intensive Camp for 8-10 year olds.

Winter Recess Art Camp for Kids

December 18th - 22nd, 26th - 29th

Looking for something creative for your child to do during Winter break? MoCA Westport’s Recess Art Camp offers artsy fun for ages 4-7. Campers will explore the Purvis Young exhibition and take inspiration from his work into the classroom. They will spend their day creating, learning about artists and collaborating in a fun, creative environment.

The Intensive Art Camp, tailored for ages 8-10, invites young artists to delve into new mediums and refine their skills. Inspired by the MoCA's Purvis Young exhibition, campers will fuse their discoveries from their exhibition tour with classroom techniques. They'll learn vital art fundamentals such as: line work, color theory and composition, all highlighted through their gallery exploration, and dive into varying methods of making such as painting with a palette tool, ink on watercolors and more.
