Hartford, CT - State Senator Tony Hwang today blasted a recent campaign mailer from his opponent which features misinformation and manipulated narrative about his position on women reproductive and health choices.
“This is another outrageous and misleading mailer,” Sen. Hwang said. “I have always supported a woman’s right to choose their reproductive and health choices. My 16 year voting record and advocacy reflect and reinforce it. This mail piece using taxpayer and partisan political action committee (PAC) money is gaslighting, misinformation and manipulation at its worst. Apologies must be made.”
Sen. Hwang said his opponent’s constant gaslighting, misinformation and manipulative narrative raise questions about his opponent’s character and betrayal of the public trust. “My opponent is responsible for this decision to spread this misinformation and manipulated narrative to our community,” Sen. Hwang said. “It’s sad and shocking. It speaks volumes about his lack of integrity and ethics and reflects the worst in our political election environment. Let’s talk about real solutions on how we can make the lives of residents and communities better and more affordable.”
