SHU Community Theatre Announces 2024 Jazz Series Partnered with Bank of America

FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Sacred Heart University Community Theatre is pleased to announce the theatre’s 2024 jazz series in partnership with Bank of America, the series’ marquee sponsor.
“We are so happy to welcome Bank of America as our marquee sponsor of the jazz series,” said SHU Community Theatre Executive Director Matt Oestreicher. "Bank of America's commitment to this series helps to bolster an under-supported American art form, ensuring its vitality and resonance in our community.”
A supporter of Southern Connecticut’s vibrant art scene, Bank of America is dedicated to building cultural understanding through the arts. Bank of America believes that cultural institutions, from museums to theaters, play a key role in enriching local communities.
“Engaging Southern Connecticut communities through music and performance is critical for expanding our horizons and ensuring that the arts continue to flourish,” said Bill Tommins, president, Bank of America Southern Connecticut. “The Sacred Heart University Community Theatre is a valued partner and we look forward to witnessing the community’s response to this all-star lineup of jazz artists and performances.”
The SHU Community Theatre is dedicated to showcasing contemporary jazz artists who keep this distinctly American art form alive and propel it forward. Upcoming performances include Grammy Award winner Christian McBride on April 4, Al Di Meola on April 13, Rickie Lee Jones on May 4, Jazz is Dead on June 7 and Spyro Gyra on June 9.
More performances will be announced in the coming months. Visit the community theatre website for updates.
