The Maritime Aquarium Offers Animal Adoption Kit This Holiday Season

Norwalk, CT – The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is offering harbor seal adoption kits now through Dec. 31. 

These symbolic adoption kits include one 10” harbor seal plush, a certificate of adoption, a fact sheet about harbor seals, and two tickets to the Aquarium’s 4D theater.  

“A harbor seal adoption kit is the perfect gift this holiday season. Not only will it bring joy to the children in your life, it will help us advance conservation efforts in Long Island Sound, provide educational experiences to people of all ages, and care for our resident animals – including harbor seals Sono, Gracie, Feisty, Leila, and Rasal,” said Chief Strategy and Growth Officer Danielle Tranzillo.  

Harbor seals have a wide range that includes Long Island Sound. They are protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act, a law passed by Congress in 1972 to protect animals from human activities.   

This limited product can be purchased online for $99. It can be delivered by mail or picked up at the Aquarium.
