Mothers for Others Powers Past its Goal with Inaugural Diaper Derby – Raises Over $55,000 for Diaper Bank!
Mothers for Others is celebrating a monumental victory with its first-ever Diaper Derby, a virtual diaper drive that exceeded all expectations. The event raised over $55,000 to fuel the distribution of more than half a million diapers in 2025 to children in need.
As Fairfield County’s largest independent diaper bank, Mothers for Others has already changed lives by delivering over 1,250,000 diapers to families. With almost 90% of every dollar directly funding diapers and wipes, this grassroots movement is making a real impact.
Mothers for Others partners with a powerful network of trusted organizations, including Children’s Learning Centers, Family Centers, the Greenwich Department of Human Services, Inspirica, Neighbor to Neighbor, Filling in the Blanks, Building One Community, Malta House, Person to Person, Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, Kids in Crisis, and the YWCA Greenwich.
“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support!” said Karen Giannuzzi, Founder and Co-President of Mothers for Others. “With eight dedicated sponsors, 13 enthusiastic Derby teams, and more than 150 generous donors rallying for our cause, we’re transforming the lives of families facing diaper need in Fairfield County.”
A heartfelt thank you to the Diaper Derby sponsors: Lolleez, Greenwich Hospital, Humble Growth, Lisa Stugart at Brown Harris Stevens, Naturepedic, Morgan Stanley, JSL, and Manfredi Jewels.
Special gratitude also goes to local businesses – Vince, Cups ‘n Cones, The Cubhouse, Pologeorgis, Famille, Maison D’Alexandre, and Orienta – who contributed through shopping events and sales percentages throughout May.
