Central CT Tourism District Calls For Snow Photos

If you've ever snapped a picture of Hartford looking beautiful in the snow, Connecticut's Central Regional Tourism District wants to see it.

The district, which promotes tourism in the Connecticut River Valley and Greater New Haven areas, is running a "Winter in CT" photo contest. One winner's pic will be featured in the 2014 Greater Hartford & Connecticut's River Valley Visitors Guide. According to Executive Director Anne Orsene, "The response to our Tourism District's first-ever fall photo contest a few months ago was so great that we decided to seek images showcasing what makes winter special." Photos can be of anything that "makes Connecticut a wonderful wintertime location."

To enter, pin your wintery Connecticut shots on Pinterest using the hashtags #WinterinCT and #CenterofCT, and include a caption containing the phrase "Center of CT Photo Contest." The deadline is Fevruary 21.

For more information on the contest, see the Connecticut Postings blog. For more on the Central Regional Tourism District, see their website.
