
The American Red Cross is helping 25 people in seven families after a fire this morning in Hartford and last night in East Hartford.
In Hartford, the Red Cross is helping 20 people – 11 adults and nine children in six families – with emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire early today on Park Street. Red Cross team members Sandee Sorel-LeDuc, Jon Basso, Joyce Godin, Scott Glenney, Pat Welch, Kim Lingard, Larry Winnick and Chris Baker responded to assist the families.
Last night, the Red Cross responded to a fire on Jaidee Drive in East Hartford and assisted a family of three adults and two children with emergency food and baby needs after a fire. The family was able to make alternative housing arrangements. Red Cross team members Gladys Kielb, Rhonda Leonard and Eloise Bennett responded to assist the family.
