The Charter Oak Health Center works to "[promote] healthier communities by providing quality, safe, patient-centered health care services in medically underserved areas, regardless of ability to pay."
Part of that mission is carried out by means of the organization's Mobile Medical Van. It travels to eleven Hartford locations, making services including "physicals, sick visits, immunizations, chronic disease management, education and medication management; the dental staff provide screenings, cleanings, Xrays and restoration" available to Hartford residents who can't get to another health care facility.
