Thierry Pradines of Pleasantville's Best Wine Purveyors assembled a list of a dozen interesting and affordable wines from around the globe. Each week, Lohud's readers were encouraged to try something new, from an amazing Carménère from Chile to a bubbly Spanish Cava.

Pradines has been surrounded by wine his entire life. Born and raised in Fronton, France, a Southwestern village and wine appellation north of Toulouse where wine has been made since the thirteenth century, his family owns vineyards and makes wine. So no surprise, one of his wine recommendations came from Fronton!
