HamletHub.com a pioneering network of 'hyperlocal' websites providing locally originated news and information to communities has launched its newest hyperlocal site for the Southbury, CT area, the company announced today.
With a full roster of sites covering most of Connecticut and Westchester, NY, HamletHub is proud to announce that Southbury resident, Sandy Vas, has agreed to become the editor of Southbury HamletHub.
"I am very excited to be part of the HamletHub team and have the opportunity to showcase the lovely town of Southbury." said Vas. "I absolutely love being a Southbury resident, and as Editor of Southbury HamletHub I look forward to sharing local stories, events and happenings around town and giving a voice to businesses and residents," added Vas.
HamletHub launched the first local news "Hub" in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won the prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013, and earned six awards in 2014 including Best Website.
Vas, a Maine native, has lived in Southbury with her husband and four children for 7 years. She volunteers in her children's schools, enjoys gardening in the Community Garden, working for her church as a Youth Group Coordinator, cooking, reading, the beach, and hiking the Connecticut State Parks with her family.
Readers, contributors and advertisers will benefit from a direct line to their neighbors, and the organizations that make Southbury a wonderful place to call home.
