On September 10, 2015 Milford Police Department in conjunction with East Providence Rhode Island Police Department took custody of Robert Chadronet (37) 400 North Broadway, East Providence RI, in regards to a Bank Robbery at People’s United Bank, 1636 Boston Post Road on August 18, 2015. Chadronet, who is known as the “Teardrop Bandit” from a string of previous Bank Robberies, walked into People’s United Bank at approximately 4:15 pm on August 18, 2015 and handed the bank teller a note stating he had a weapon and wanted the money from the teller’s draw. The teller then handed Chadronet the cash and Chadronet fled the scene.
Chadronet was located at his residence in Rhode Island and extradited back to Connecticut. Chadronet is being held on $250,000 on the charges of Robbery 2nd and Larceny 3rd.
The Milford Police Department is investigating a bank robbery which occurred at the People’s United Bank located at 1636 Boston Post Road in Milford.
The suspect is described as a thin white male wearing an oversized gray t-shirt, cargo shorts, a blue baseball hat with sunglasses on the hat, dark sneakers and white socks.
