Tragic death of a Milford resident caused after fatal car crash Saturday

Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident:

On January 9, 2016, Milford Police responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Buckingham Avenue near Old Field Lane.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a motor vehicle traveling Southbound on Buckingham Avenue near Old Field Lane, operated by Sandra MacDonald (W/F, 60) of Milford, crossed over the double yellow lines striking the guardrail on the Northbound side of the road. The vehicle continued to travel Southbound in the Northbound Lane, when it struck another vehicle that was traveling Northbound in the Northbound Lane.

Both operators were taken to the Hospital to be evaluated, where MacDonald was pronounced dead. The operator of the other vehicle is in stable condition being treated for injuries.
