As part of their mission to foster education, the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust is offering area students twenty-six scholarships in 2016. The criteria vary for each award, with some need based and some academically based. There are also scholarships for all fields of study, some specifically for business, medical related fields, science, engineering and culinary.
Applicants may visit the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce’s website www.milfordct.com<http://www.milfordct.com/> for complete descriptions and criteria for all scholarships, as well as a printable application form. Students must submit applications to their school guidance offices no later than April 1, 2016. The twenty-three scholarships offered by the Milford Chamber Trust in 2016 are:

5. Kingdom Life Christian Church Scholarship - $1,000
6. Jon Lorensen's Acura of Milford Scholarship - $1,000
7. The University of Bridgeport - $1,000
8. The McInnis Companies #1 - $500
9. The McInnis Companies #2 - $500
10. R. J. Reuter Business Success Scholarship - $500
11. Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce Health and Wellness Council Scholarship – $1,000
13. Connecticut Property Appraisers Scholarship in Memory of Maren Sanchez - $500
14. Annual Milford Oyster Festival Linda Stock Memorial Scholarship (1 of 2) - $500

16. Daniel T. Meisenheimer Jr. Memorial Scholarship - $2,500
