Support the Raven Luna-ticks to Benefit Coastal Center at Milford Point

Frank Gallo and his team of no-nonsense birders are not satisfied with merely breaking the Connecticut Big Day record of 192 species.

This year they want 200!

They're doing it for a good cause, the Connecticut Audubon Society's Coastal Center at Milford Point!

Encourage them! Prod them! Nudge them! Inspire them!
One day between May 18 and 23, when conditions are right, they will start birding at midnight and they won't quit until they can't see or hear anything else, some 20-plus hours later.

Yes, this seems like something only a raving lunatic would do!

And indeed Frank and his friends (Nick Bonomo, Patrick Dugan, Dave Tripp, and Fran Zygmont) call themselves, jocularly, the Raven Luna-ticks, because they're the kind of guys who love bad puns.

Frank is on our staff and he gets paid to do this. But Nick, Patrick, Dave and Fran are volunteers who are doing it because THEYsupport the Coastal Center!

So if you love the Connecticut Audubon Society and the Coastal Center, and if you can ignore the bad pun, and if you want to thank Nick, Patrick, Dave and Fran and show them that all their planning and driving is worth it, please make a donation!
