Group to host House Music event in Downtown Bridgeport
The Bridgeport Arts and Cultural Council will present Green House, a Bridgeport House Music event, from 4 to 10 PM on September 15, on the McLevy Green.
Green House is the first event of its kind in Bridgeport, bringing together some of the premier DJ’s from Connecticut and New York to play deep house, latin house, soulful house, R&B house, gospel house, disc house music, and more.
The Bridgeport Arts and Cultural Council (or BACC) is the lead orchestrator of this event. The BACC is grounded in the abilities to create, curate, and collaborate, with the goal of advancing Bridgeport’s quality of life and prosperity. They seek to accomplish this through empowering local artists; stimulating conversation; building leadership; supporting cultural expression; funding; spreading city pride; and serving as a catalyst for creativity.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing some of the area’s funkiest DJ’s to Downtown Bridgeport for a celebration of house music of all kinds,” said Razul Branch, executive director of the Bridgeport Arts and Cultural Council. “I think that the Green House event, with its vibrant music and energy, pairs well with our city’s picturesque McLevy Green. Get ready to see the McLevy Green in a whole new light--Green House is bringing a brand new sound and experience to Bridgeport!”
