ALL OUT FOR AUTISM ANNOUNCES 8TH ANNUAL 5K/RUN/ WALK

New Balance New Canaan announces the 8th Annual ALL OUT FOR AUTISM 5K/Run/Walk 2016! This year’s race will be held on Friday, August 26th in New Canaan. Proceeds will help build a playground with accessible features at the New Canaan YMCA for children with all abilities to enjoy! Participants and Supporters of the race have helped raise $25,000 to date, allowing the installation of an Omnispin Spinner offering children of all abilities sensory stimulation and encouraging interactive play. In addition, a We Saw providing a new and accessible take on the traditional See Saw. Funds raised from the 2016 Race will help in purchasing interactive Sand Tables and a new accessible Swing, Creating a welcoming environment within the YMCA playground for children with special needs.
The race will begin and end at New Balance (128 Main Street), with the course running through downtown New Canaan. The event will kick off at 6:00PM with exciting pre-race entertainment! Stay tuned for details! A quarter-mile Kid’s Fun Run will take place at 6:15PM followed by the 5K course open to runners and walkers at 6:30PM. Awards and festivities will take place after the race.
