
Danbury Organizers of the "Walk To End Alzheimers" will be holding a new team and returning team early registration event, the Purple Happy Hour, with prizes, networking and more at the Outback Steakhouse on Newtown Road June 6th from 4pm until 7 pm. Currently there are over 30 teams registered with almost 60 participants who have raised over $5,000 dollars towards the events goal of raising $128,000 thousand.
The Danbury Walk to End Alzheimer's event will take place on September 22, 2019 at the Western Connecticut State University Westside Campus on Lake Ave Extension in Danbury. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!
When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel the Alzheimers Walk mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, they encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.
