Danbury Fireworks tonight and Wednesday July 3.

The City of Danbury and the Danbury Fire Department will present the City's annual fireworks show this evening at Danbury Town Park. Police warn travelers to expect heavy traffic in the area from 5 pm until 11 pm. Isolated thunderstorms are expected this afternoon but the weather this evening should cooperate to provide and excellent show. If you plan on going to the show there are several options. Bring chairs and or beach blankets to Danbury Town Park or stop by the Lakeside Pub at 31 Hayestown Road for their BBQ party. If you are a boater, out on the water of Candlewood Lake provides a stunning viewpoint for the show.

Another show is planned for Wednesday July 3rd at the Danbury Fair Mall on Backus Avenue in Danbury. A local band, After Hours, will be performing at the event which will also feature beer and food trucks. Activities start at 6 and run until 10 pm. The Fireworks show is at dusk. Danbury Police warn attendees to expect heavy traffic in the area and surrounding side streets.
