The Schoolhouse Theater presents 'True West' by Sam Shepard in a Zoom Matinee

The Schoolhouse Theater’s Pandemic Players’ weekly (impromptu) play readings continue with this presentation of Sam Shepard's "True West".

Arguably Sam Shepard's greatest play. It was first produced at the Public Theater with Tommy Lee Jones and Peter Boyle. The reviews were so bad that Sam reportedly told Joseph Papp, "You will never touch another one of my plays."
Just 4 years later, an ambitious and unknown troupe who had never performed in New York revived the play at the Cherry Lane Theater making stars of Gary Sinese and John Malcovich. The troupe has gone on to win every award under the sun.
Their name? The Steppinwolf Theater of Chicago!
