The 4th Annual Ridgefield Gone Country BBQ Festival in Ridgefield runs starts Saturday May 6 at 11am and runs thru Sunday 5PM. The BBQ Festival is collaboration between the Ridgefield Rotary Club and the Lounsbury House.
Last year’s BBQ Festival was a tremendous success as over 5000 individuals attended the event. This year’s event will be even bigger and better than last year’s.
Highlighting an incredible weekend of non-stop music will be some of the best local musicians in our area. Among some of the local performers are Danbury’s The Red Hots, Jesse Lynch and Joe Pacelli, Wilton’s Jerome Gooseman, New Rochelle’s Michelle DeAngelis, and Woodbury’s Erik Krieg. Among the new bands performing for the first time at the festival are Mackensie and Caitlin, School of Rock, Harrison Street and Easy Street.
The Connecticut State BBQ Championship will be one of feature events. Two individual championships will be awarded, one on Saturday and the other Sunday.
In addition there will be plenty of kid’s rides, lots of family fun and the best food in the area.
The lead sponsor is Pamby Motors. The event will be held at the Historic Lounsbury House at 316 Main Street. Tickets prices are the same as last year, $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 12 are FREE. Learn more about the event at www.RidgefieldBBQCT.com.
The proceeds of this event are returned to deserving charities via the Rotary grant process and to maintaining Ridgefield’s Lounsbury House.
