New Milford Publiic Library News: No Fines for Most Library Materials!

Great news! We've made some changes for our patrons' convenience. There are no fines for most library materials now! Books, audiobooks, music cds, DVDs, puzzles, and magazines are fine free.

Plus, the library now automatically renews your materials twice, as long as no one else has put holds on the items. Please keep in mind that materials still need to be returned on time. You'll get automatic notifications before your materials are due. If materials are not returned within six weeks, you will get charged for the cost of the items. This also means you will not be allowed to borrow more until you return the materials.

A few exceptions:

• Hotspots still have $5/day late fines and only one automatic renewal. (Check out for 14 days.)
• Library of Things still have $2/day late fines and only one automatic renewal. (Check out for 14 days.)
• Museum passes still have $2/day late fines and no renewals. (Check out for 3 days.)
