Sponsors are being sought by Challenging Minds LLC of Torrington and Bantam, organizers of the “Mental Health Matters: 5K For 5K Walk” fundraiser to benefit Greenwoods Counseling Services in Litchfield. The 5K Walk will take place at White Memorial Park at 80 Whitehall Road in Litchfield between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.
Sponsorships are being offered in Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels according to Challenging Minds LLC Owner & CEO Andrew Matusiak, LCSW. “The deadline for sponsorships is May 15,” stated Matusiak. “Sponsorships range from $250 for Gold, $100 for Silver, and $50 for Bronze. In addition to being listed on social media blasts pre- and post-event, and all marketing and publicity ambitions, Gold sponsors will have a 5” image of their logo printed on the walkers’ T-shirts, Silver sponsors’ 3” logos will appear as medium images and 1.5” logo images will be featured for Bronze sponsors.”
Walkers for the “Mental Health Matters: 5K For 5K Walk” may register by Saturday, June 1st and the fees are $10 per person and $20 per family.
Challenging Minds LLC will match all donations up to $2,500 with a total goal of $5,000. All proceeds will be donated directly to Greenwoods Counseling Services in Litchfield.
Celebrating five years in business, Challenging Minds LLC offers a holistic approach to both mental health and personal development. They provide a wide variety of clinical and wellness services for individuals, families, and groups while striving to provide new perspectives on the challenges of life and how to overcome barriers. Clinical services offered range from Individual and Group Therapy to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy. Wellness services range from SunLighten Sauna Therapy to Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki, Reflexology, and Massage Therapy. Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals is a nonprofit organization at 25 South Street in Litchfield that uniquely helps individuals and families living and working in Litchfield County to find quality, accessible, and affordable mental health care. “When faced with a mental health or related problem, many people don’t know where to turn,” stated executive director John Simoncelli, LCSW, LADC, MPA. “Greenwoods is the only mental health referral service in Connecticut that provides personalized referrals by matching each person with counselors, therapists, or other professionals with the expertise to help, and at reduced rates.”
