Winston is a 4-year-old Jack Russell-mix who shows signs of being abused. He can be hand-shy but pound staff are teaching him to trust again. He came to the pound with an extremely irritating eye-condition. He had surgery to correct the problem, but his vision is still limited. For that reason, he is very wary around strangers. Max loves to walk and definitely has an extra pep in his step since his eyes are more comfortable. Like many in his breed, Max tends to be independent. In other words, he is never going to be an outgoing lab-type dog. Once he is comfortable with a person, he likes nothing more than to put his head in their lap and take a nap.
