What Are These Three Up To?

Parks and Recreation Director Amy Mangold, First Selectman Pat Llodra and Parks Director Carl Samuelson were over at Dickinson Park this afternoon checking out the progress on the restoration project. Funded primarily by grants, efforts are underway to bring the park back to what Mother Nature intended.

The waterway, seen behind Amy, Pat and Carl, has been through a lot in its day. Many of you recall when there was a pool at Dickinson. When the pool was built, the stream was piped below ground. Now it's been brought back to the surface in order to "daylight" the tributary which is fed by the pond across the street from the skate park.

Amy, Pat and Carl were all very enthusiastic about the progress and the natural look of the waterway. If you get a chance, stop by the park and admire the view.
