C.H. Booth Library Re-Opening Celebration
The community is invited to tour the library during an open house on Saturday, March 22nd.
(Newtown, Connecticut) – Reconstruction is finished, and the newly improved C.H. Booth Library is open for business. The C.H. Booth Library will hold a Community Reopening Celebration on Saturday, March 22nd. The library will be open normal library hours from 9:30 am to 5 pm, and events will run throughout the day from 11 am to 5 pm. Make and take crafts will take place in the children's story hour room.
Visit the young adult area on the main floor where you can build with Legos or play a family friendly board game. The C.H. Booth Library invites all members of the community to come in and tour the building. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day.

For Adults:
Story and Song with Lenny Levine: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Lenny began writing mystery novels and short stories after a long career as a recording-studio singer and songwriter. His songs have been recorded and performed by Diana Ross, The Pointer Sisters and Barry Manilow, and he has sung backup for Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Peggy Lee, and others. His stories, which can be funny, sad, touching and suspenseful, all at the same time, have been widely published in literary magazines and journals. He received a 2011 Pushcart Prize nomination for short fiction.
Music Together with Julie Capuano at 11 am
Celebrate "Sing with Your Child Month" with Julie Capuano. Julie Capuano of Music Together of Monroe and Newtown will lead a fun
interactive music and movement program for children and their caregivers. The program is targeted for children six and under. Please register online at www.chboothlibrary.org.
Walk Around Entertainment: 1:00– 3:00 pm
You can see Eric Girardi, a performer for over fifteen years display his talent with world-class yoyos, juggling, diabolo, devilsticks, and
many more circus skills. He has been on international television, featured on commercials, FOX News, and has been known to yoyo while standing in a line at the airport.
Fairytale Memories: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Come meet Tinkerbell! Christina Dolzall creates "Fairytale Memories" when she transforms herself into Tinkerbell. This real life princess
will be at the library from 1:00 to 3:00 pm to greet children, sign autograph postcards and pose for pictures. Bring your camera.
