Thinking of starting a family daycare business? Come to the SBA Women's Business Development Council three-day program on Wednesdays beginning June 11 from 5-7:30 p.m. at FSW, 475 Clinton Ave. in Bridgeport. The classes will be held June 11, 18 and 25. Registration and material fee is $40.
Starting Up A Family Daycare Business: A 3-Part Series
With proper planning, a home childcare business can deliver a stable and profitable income. This three-day program will explore what is necessary to do just that.
Session I: The ABCs of Daycare – Learn what is necessary to start a home daycare business, including education, state licensing and insurance.
Session II: Talking to the Experts – Gain insight and guidance in key areas of starting home daycare from a WBDC panel on finance, education and community resources.
Session III: Getting Started with a Plan – Begin to develop a business plan; review the business concept and evaluate its viability.
Reduced-fee scholarships available to those who qualify based on income guidelines.
