This week's FREE Gatehouse Café concert will feature "Eight to the Bar" on June 24, 2014 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Drawing its musical influences from American roots music - swing, boogie woogie, rhythm & blues, soul, Motown, - Eight to the Bar is known for its outstanding instrumentalists and sophisticated musical and vocal arrangements, highlighted by female vocals. With the support of independently-produced albums and videos, "Eight to the Bar" has cultivated a large, enthusiastic following that has put them in clubs from Disneyland to Disney World as well as Europe and the Caribbean.
The Gatehouse concerts, located at 1461 South Britain Rd in Southbury, are a delightful way to spend a relaxing evening after work. The Café will be open and serving a variety of sandwiches and beverages or if you'd rather, bring a picnic. The concerts are held outside so be sure to bring a blanket or chairs.
