Nora Murphy’s career is the story of her passion for interior design, classics, and great new ideas. An accomplished furniture industry executive at the height of her field in 2010, she reexamined her priorities and decided to leave corporate life to create her own, very different, company—Connecticut Country House. A reflection of her enduring passions, the new enterprise also allows her to share her love of country living and foster a lively community of like-minded people.
Nora launched the new lifestyle company in 2011, focusing on design, decorating, gardening, and entertaining. Part inspiration, part education, Connecticut Country House is a wholly unique experience. It began with the ConnecticutCountryHouse.com blog and evolved into the Nora Murphy Country House Style online magazine. An inviting combination of down-to-earth and elegant, Nora’s perspective on country living is filled with joy, humor, and stunning style.
The winners, and runner ups, are determined through a combination of ratings by a panel of judges and a public vote. The awards will be presented live, and the inductees recognized during the 2016 Design Bloggers Conference at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta on March 7, 2016.
