Random Acts of Chamber Music will present “unique and daring original compositions” at The Meeting House, Main Street, Newtown, September 23 at 7:30 with a reception to follow at 8:30.  Admission is free but reservations are recommended because this group sold out last year.

Formed in2014 to look at Chamber music a little differently, this year N.E.N.M.E. will be featuring works by Pink Floyd, John Williams, Steve Reich, Tool, Genesis, Robert Rabinowitz, Scott A Provost Switzer, Peter Gabriel, Herb Alpert, Sun Ra, Vince Guaraldi, Electric Light Orchestra, and even Looney Tunes

On Saturday, September, the second annual Lantern Parade steps off on the new walking trail at Fairfield Hills and will feature self made costumes and lanterns. Although Lanterns have already been made at two events, there is one more chance to make them at the Newtown Arts festival, Saturday, noon-4pm.
