Newtown Community Center COVID-19 Announcement

As you are aware, health concerns regarding COVID-19 are changing rapidly. Your health and safety is our number one priority. Out of an abundance of caution, after meeting with town officials and leaders, we have made the difficult decision to shut down the Newtown Community Center temporarily at 6 pm this evening until further notice. There are no confirmed cases in town, but we intend to take this time to deep clean and for self-care for staff and community members. 

 

We plan to continually work with community leaders on how the Community Center can best serve our community during this time. More information will be shared in the coming days on a reopening plan. All announcements will be made through local news sources, e-blasts and social media. We are working with software developers, banks and credit card companies to put all memberships on a temporary hold until we resume operations.

 

The Community Center will still be available by phone during the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm. We thank the community for their support and patience during this challenging time and look forward to opening our doors again soon.
