Mark Your Calendars For One of New England's Biggest Book Sales - in Newtown July 7-11

 

Our annual sale, held at Newtown's Reed Intermediate School each July, is the Friends' primary fundraising event. It is one of the biggest and best-organized book sales in New England.

 

We'll have more than 100,000 books for adults and children, puzzles, games, CDs, DVDs, and LPs, all on display in a spacious, air conditioned venue. Proceeds from the sale benefit programs and services at Newtown's C.H. Booth Library.

• The 2023 sale kicks off on Friday, July 7 from 1 pm to 5 pm. The admission fee is $40 and attendance will be capped at 200. Tickets go on sale at the school at noon. 
• On Saturday, July 8, doors are open from 10 am to 5 pm. The admission fee for adults is $5.00; 18 and under enter free. Tickets go on sale that morning at 9 am.
• Prices on all items will be reduced by 25% on Sunday, July 9. Sales hours are 10 am to 5 pm.
• Prices will be even lower on Monday July 10: 50% off list price, and sale hours will be extended from 10 am to 7 pm for the convenience of shoppers who want to stop in after work.
• Tuesday is “Free Day,” and the venue will be open from 10 am to 1 pm.
