Newtown Resident Wins Halo Theater Award

On May 27th, Newtown resident, Marley Dixon, won a Halo Award for Best Performance in a Comic Female Role in a Play for her role in Wooster School's "Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea." Marley is currently a senior at Wooster and will attend Case Western Reserve University in the Fall.
Presented by Seven Angels Theatre, the Halo Awards recognize outstanding achievement in acting, singing, technical production, direction, and more. Founded in 1993 by Artistic Director Semina DeLaurentis, the program is a four-night event featuring 90 high schools across the state. The Halo Awards offer a platform to elevate and honor young performers and behind-the-scenes talent.
