Titanic Centennial Commemoration and Opening Night Gala at Matthews Mansion

Lockwood-Matthews Mansion Museum just opened for 2012 and will celebrate the new season by throwing an Opening Night Gala co-chaired by museum trustees Linda Fontaine and Victoria Vandamm. There will also be a preview of the Titanic exhibit Epic Voyage: The Extraordinary Life of Helen Churchill Candee and a presentation by Dr. Stephen Coan, the president and CEO of Sea Research Foundation and Mystic Aquarium. 

Dr. Coan's presentation will discuss the legacy of the tragic accident and he will be joined via video by the man who discovered the Titanic's first wreckage, Dr. Robert Ballard. 

The Titanic Centennial Commemoration and Opening Night Gala will take place on Saturday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails with a dinner at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $200 per ticket for Rotunda seats and $150 for Adjoining Room seats. To reserve a spot call (203) 838-9799 Ext. 4.
