You have probably heard by now that the United States Postal Service will stop delivering mail on Saturdays. Now, while it looks like you will have to wait until Monday to receive those dreaded bills, and planning out when birthday cards will arrive to your in-laws will be mind-bending, but here’s what this all means:

  • Relax. Saturday mail will still arrive until August of this year.
  • Some stuff will still be delivered, even if it is a Saturday. Packages, mail-order medicine, and express mail will still arrive if it is due on a Saturday.
  • Letters, bill, catalogs/magazines, and cards WILL NOT be delivered.
  • If your post office is open on Saturday, it will still be open on Saturday.
  • More details from the U.S. Post Office regarding this issue will follow in the next month or so.
