Although it’s not officially summer yet, the big budget movie season is about to begin, first with “Oblivion.”
“Oblivion” stars Tom Cruise as Jack Harper, one of the last humans still living on Earth after decades of alien attacks that left the planet practically abandoned. Jack’s job, which will end in two weeks, is to find and extract vital resources that still remain on the planet, and when finished he must join the remaining survivors on a lunar colony.
During this sci-fi adventure, Jack will save a woman whose arrival sets off a chain of events that will uncover many hidden truths.
Verdict: I’m all in. I can’t pass up a Cruise film (BTW, Morgan Freeman is also in this one) because he always delivers and if you’re a science fiction freak, this is a movie for you. And mad props to Cruise’s character for rocking a New York Yankees hat.
