Before you stop by a cookout and get your grub on there are a few parades in town that you may want to hit up and get in the Memorial Day spirit.
The Norwalk Memorial Day Parade is always a big event and will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27. The parade starts at Veterans Park then goes to Fort Point Street, Van Zant Street, East Avenue, and ends at the Town Green. Don't worry, there will be plenty of those little flags to go around.
The day before is the Rowayton Memorial Day Parade on May 26. Brien McMahon High School and Roton Middle School's marching bands will be on hand and little league baseball players and volunteer firefighters will be a few of the groups marching on Sunday. The parade route goes from the Community Center to Downtown Rowayton and will begin at 12 p.m. Don't forget to stop by the fire house afterwards for hot dogs and soda and stop by Pinkney Park for the Rowayton Arts Center Art Show if you get a chance.
