Come meet Marvel Superheroes at the Maritime Aquarium

Kids can meet – and learn from – Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man, Captain America and Iron Man live and in person during two special “Operation Green” performances on Sat., Oct. 29 at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

The crime-fighters’ exciting, action-packed and interactive shows will start at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Aquarium’s IMAX Theater.

Spider-Man nemesis the Green Goblin also will be on-hand during the 45-minute shows, which will focus on the dangers of pollution and also various ways we all can help the environment.

“The Marvel Super Heroes have been saving the planet from various bad guys for decades,” said Chris Loynd, the Aquarium’s marketing director. “Their ‘Operation Green’ show lets them empower kids to be heroes for the planet too – environmental heroes.”

Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite super hero and hang around afterward for autographs.

(Although the “Operation Green” shows will be held in the IMAX Theater, they do not include an IMAX movie presentation. The live shows pre-empt the IMAX screenings of “Coral Reef Adventure” at 11 a.m. and “Born to Be Wild” at 2 p.m.)
