"Man of Steel" Opens in IMAX at Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium Sept. 27

Hollywood's latest crack at the Superman saga slams onto the giant IMAX screen of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk for weekend shows beginning Friday, Sept. 27.
"Man of Steel" has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® technology. The film's crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theater geometry and 12,000-watt digital audio, create a unique environment that will make you feel as if you are in the movie.
Henry Cavill dons the red "S" this time, as a young man who journeys to discover where he came from and what heroic tasks he was sent to Earth to perform. The A-list supporting cast includes Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Dianne Lane and Kevin Costner.
Time magazine said, "Like its hero, 'Man of Steel' at its best is serious, stripped down and pumped. ... The action is plentiful and thumping; Marvel-size thrills await you and the generations of kids who still believe in Superman." And local critic Susan Granger wrote: "...filled with awesome, eye-popping action, this is an innovative, amazing incarnation, worthy of the world's most iconic superhero."
The effects are even bigger in IMAX. One Michigan reviewer who saw the film in IMAX wrote: "... it's a big, bombastic time at the movies that'll will blow the shoes right off of your feet. Don't be surprised if the person next to you is sitting upside down by the end."
