Job Opening for Parish Office Manager in Wilton

St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, a vibrant and welcoming faith community located in Wilton, CT, is seeking a compassionate, dynamic and detail oriented Parish Office Manager to serve as the central source of contact and information for the parish office. Candidates need to be organized, flexible, have a collaborative work style, be able to build trusting relationships and prioritize and coordinate several projects simultaneously.

The Office Manager is responsible for directly assisting the Rector in performing her function as the CEO of the parish by planning and executing the administrative workload and providing overall support for the ministries of the parish. These duties include the preparation, reproduction and distribution of written materials, overseeing the work of volunteers, preparing and sending electronic and physical mailings, responding to staff and member requests in person as well as via phone or e-mail, and maintaining parish schedules and records. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled generalist with excellent interpersonal, writing, editing, computer and administrative skills. A college degree with a minimum of 5 years of office management experience and excellent knowledge and skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, Publisher, Constant Contact, Internet Explorer and database maintenance are required. Experience in a church or other non-profit setting is preferred.
