Murder Arrest
On January 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM, Norwalk Detectives arrested Ellen Wink and charged her with murder. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred at 16 Nelson Avenue at 11:52 AM today. Patrol Division Officers were sent to this location for a disturbance that involved the victim and Wink. Patrol Division Officers located a male victim inside 16 Nelson Avenue.
The male victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service. Patrol Division Officers located Wink at the scene and detained her. Norwalk Detectives immediately began their investigation which ultimately led to Wink’s arrest. The investigation remains ongoing at this time however we want to reiterate that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The victim’s name will not be released pending notification of next-of-kin.
