The Norwalk Rotary Club will host the 4th Annual Putting for Charity event on September 13, a full-fledged miniature golf tournament, except the holes will be shorter so you can reach the green! Tee off with us at 5:30 pm at Cove Miniature Golf, Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. This special evening includes culinary delights prepared by Ripka’s Café, followed by dinner, dessert, beer, wine and fun! There will be some special golfer prizes and giveaways too!
The proceeds of our event will benefit the Brien McMahon High School’s Marine Science Academy, a field-based, four-year program offering students hands-on experience in all aspects of Marine Science. The program focuses locally in Norwalk, CT, where there is a rich maritime history, as well as, a wealth of career opportunities. Students will be exposed to various technologies, college and career opportunities in the field, and experiences through internships and apprenticeships.
The Norwalk Rotary Club mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Rotary President, Tony Lopez shared, “The Norwalk Rotary Club has a strong history of supporting the residents of this community. Whether it's volunteering at the Oyster Festival, providing dictionaries for all third grade students, or raising funds for this worthwhile marine science program, it is an honor to make a difference in our Norwalk community.”
In addition, we would like to thank several businesses who also supported the event by donating giveaways for our guests: Golf Galaxy, Bronca Apparel, LYMBR of Darien, Mr. Frosty’s, Dry Dock Bar & Grill and Ed Paul, DDS, MS. We are truly grateful for your generosity and kindness.
