Today on our Facebook page, we had two different postings of readers who sighted wild animals in Ridgefield. The photo you see above was taken by Kathy Maher who spotted what she called 'an ulgy Coyote' in her yard. According to Wikipedia Coyotes shed once a year, beginning in May with light hair loss, ending in July after heavy shedding. This may be why the Coyote looked so mangy and yes, 'ulgy'.
Another reader saw a bobcat running across Farmingville Road, between Limekiln and Lee. "I think it's so cool that we have such a diverse wildlife population in this town," she remarked.
What do you think?
