Ridgefield Lacrosse is Winning the Face-Offs!

The NCAA Division I College Lacrosse Championships began this past weekend, and Ridgefield was well-represented!
The game winning goal in overtime between the University of Virginia and Bucknell University was scored by Matt White, Ridgfield High School 2009. If not red-shirted this year, the University of Denver would have had Colin Scott, Ridgefield High School 2009 on the field. And the Ridgefield High School Varsity Team is coached by Roy Colsey, Syracuse University 1995, First Team All-American '93-'95. Since arriving in Ridgefield, Colsey has coached the Ridgefield Boys to their first-ever FCIAC Championship in 2009; and besides White and Scott, quite a few other lacrosse players under Colsey are playing college lacrosse, quite a few in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
This year is no different for seniors on the Ridgefield Varsity Lacrosse Team. Six seniors are college lacrosse-bound. They are:
Aiden Scott - University of Denver
Andrew Buckanavage -University of Vermont
Matt Hrvatin - Hamilton College
Travis Tiger - Eastern Connecticut State University
Matt Shannon - University of North Carolina
Jordan Nachowitz - Roger Williams University
Good Luck to all Ridgefield Lacrosse Players, past and present, we'll be watching you at Tiger Hollow and on television!
