On Monday November 26th, at approximately 12:20am, Ridgefield Police stopped a 24 year old Norwalk woman who was driving 54 mph in a 40 mph posted area. A DMV collect check of the operator showed that her Connecticut operator's license was suspended. The woman was arrested and charged with Traveling Too Fast and Driving with a Suspended License and released with a Written Promise To Appear.
On Monday November 26th, a 25 year old Ridgefield man was arrested in Danbury and transported to the Ridgefield Police Department on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was from an incident that occurred on September 30th, 2012 for a charge of Larceny 6th degree. A $500 bond was posted and the suspect was released with a court date set of December 11th, 2012.
On Wednesday November 28th, at approximately 9:22pm, Ridgefield Police responded to the area of Bennetts Farm Road for a report of a vehicle driving with two flat tires. Upon arrival, police observed the operator of a black Land Rover driving on Bennetts Farm Road and Lakeside Drive with damage to its left side and two flat left side tires. Police stopped the vehicle and approached the 48 year old Ridgefield man. Police performed a field sobriety test after smelling alcohol on the suspect, which resulted in a DUI arrest. The suspect had struck a metal guard rail on Bennetts Farm Road and was also charged with Failure to Drive Right. The suspect was processed at the Police Headquarters and released on a $200 bond with a court appearance set for December 18th at the Danbury Superior Court.
On Sunday December 2nd at approximately 4:34pm, Ridgefield Police received a call from Danbury Police regarding two Danbury residents, a 19 year old Danbury woman and an 18 year old Danbury man, who were wanted persons in connection with an incident that took place in May. The two suspects are each being held on $50,000 bond and charged with Burglary (6 counts), Larceny, and Conspiracy (2 counts).
