Harlem Globetrotter Wun "The Shot" Versher to Visit The Maritime Aquarium on February 5
WHO: Wun “The Shot” Versher, a member of the Harlem Globetrotters, will visit The Maritime Aquarium to sign autographs, demonstrate basketball skills and maybe even feed a seal.
WHEN: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 5
WHY: Versher’s appearance is in advance of the Globetrotters’ game on Fri., Feb. 22 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
HELPFUL HINT: Wun is pronounced “Wahn”
The 6’5’’ forward out of Arizona State University is one of the greatest shooters in Globetrotters team history – the four-point shot is well within his range – and has been a part of some of the organization’s most memorable moments. Versher was on hand during the Globetrotters’ induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. He has made numerous TV appearances and taught ball-handling moves to pop superstar Justin Bieber.
