The most anticipated dance contest of the year returns on Saturday, March 2 from 7 - 11pm at Salem Golf Club in North Salem. The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra proudly presents the 2013 Spring Gala, Dancing with The RSO. We thought it would be fun to put the spotlight on each dancing couple.
Meet Liz Goldstone and Morten Schnedler-Jensen who will be dancing The Swing
Liz led her professional career in Nutritional Medicine in NYC. She moved to Ridgefield to raise her family. She and her husband, Steven, have 3 children. Liz was very instrumental in the design and construction of Founders Hall and she continues to act as the Board liaison for day-to-day operations. She is a Board member at the Ridgefield Community Center as well as a supporter of many well known charitable organizations in town.
Born in Aarhus, Denmark, Morten started dancing at age 5. By 2004, he was named Danish champion in the youth category. The following year, at age 20, he was named captain of the recognized Danish National Team, representing his country at the Italian Open. Morten came to the US in 2010, and quickly began to make good results. Teaming up with a new partner in 2011 proved to be very successful. Morten currently holds the professional championship title of Denmark, an achievement that qualified the partnership to represent Denmark in the 2012 World and European Championships. In 2012 Morten won the World Championship title among all dancers within the company of Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studios.
