Ridgefield High School Math Team is Competing in New England Regional Math Olympiad

The Ridgefield High School (RHS) Math Team is competing in the Math Olympiad (invitational math contest) for the New England Association of Math Leagues (NEAML) at Canton High School in Canton, Massachusetts on Friday, April 26th. To qualify, Ridgefield needed to finish as one of the top three math teams in Fairfield County; and the RHS team did just that, in fact, they finished third in the State!  This team of eight students is coached by teacher, David Yolen.

On Friday, teams from all over New England (CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, and ME) will be competing in three divisions based on school size, large, medium and small.  RHS will be competing in the large school division against 20 other large schools.

Good luck, and we cannot wait to hear the results.

Thanks to Susie Buckley for providing us with the details.
